The Mississippi Valley Textile Museum (MVTM) is located in the annex of the former Rosamond Woolen Company in Almonte, Ontario. Constructed in 1867 this National Historic Site of Canada now features a blend of the old and new, all related to the history of the Mississippi Valley and the textile industry.

We are a National Trust Resilient Historic Places Winner, and Canada’s industrial textile history museum.

We interpret the history of the woollen textile industry in the Mississippi River Valley, and the effects it had on the social, cultural and industrial development of the region.

While preserving our historic building and artifacts we also provide contemporary exhibits and education on fibre arts and a centre for the study of industrial textiles.
