The South Frontenac Museum Society is a non-profit corporation on its own and is a Committee of Council of the Township of South Frontenac. Our responsibility is to manage the Museum on the Township’s behalf.  The Museum is located in  the “Old School House” in Hartington on Road 38. It is run by volunteers in the community. The Township has provided a part-time communications staff member through the Recreation Department.

Our South  Frontenac Museum is a key supplier of the visitor's experience in our Township. Our goal is to fascinate and educate residents and visitors by bringing our history, creativity and culture to life. We honour the people who have lived in this region over the centuries by collecting, preserving and sharing their authentic stories and artifacts through a culturally sensitive process which includes our indigenous community. We are open Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from 1:00- 4:00 p.m
