
On May 17th, artist and sculptor, Marlene Hilton Moore will lead an engaging and anecdotal presentation about her artistic methods and historical research for the development and installation of 'The Valiants Memorial'. The monuments were unveiled by The Governor General of Canada, Michaëlle Jean, in 2006. The Valiants Memorial is a monument to 350 years of the evolution of Canada through its military conflicts. The fourteen historical figures of this work were selected by Canadian historians to represent critical moments in our country’s history.This event is proudly presented by the Lennox & Addington County Museum & Archives. Tickets are $3 each and are available at the door.
