Dr Steven Stowell, Associate Professor of Art History at Concordia University, will present a lecture on the artist’s development in the context of the Italian Renaissance. His exploration of the intellectual and creative aspects of the artist’s training, based on treatises and writings, will expand upon the themes featured in Artists at Work: Picturing Practice in the European Tradition with fresh research. His talk will be followed by Q&A and refreshments.
