The Studio: Gouache Painting with Christina McLachlanAgnes Etherington Art Centre, 36 University Ave. 17 November, 1:30–4 pm $10 per class, all materials included Register: https://agnes.queensu.ca/event/details/the-studio-5/ Gouache is an opaque form of watercolour that was used extensively in the past by graphic artists to produce a flat colour surface that can be layered to produce effects distinct from those of translucent watercolour. In this studio workshop, you will learn the properties of this unique medium. From laying a flat wash, to colour mixing, detailing and dry brush, you will explore the medium in hands-on exercises and small compositions.
