Princess of Wales’ Own Regiment Museum - Special Displays Commemorating Departure 21st Battalion and Queen’s Stationary Hospital (1915)

Join us in Memorial Hall, City Hall, Kingston OntarioAt 1:00 PM, addresses from His Worship Mayor Bryan Paterson; representing The Hospital Dr. Richard Reznick, Dean of Health Sciences, Queen’s University; and Honorary Colonel, Dr. John Scott Cowan on behalf of the PWOR, representing the 21st as the perpetuating unit.The Museum of Health Care will present some of the objects taken from its collections and from its new exhibit Trench Menders: Health Care in the First World War. Come see early gas masks, medic and surgery kits and learn more on the challenges and innovations of the Canadian Army Medical Corps.Barbara Monk will display a complete casualty clearing station and uniformed re-enactors will add colour to the event.The Princess of Wales’ Own Regiment Museum will have items from the period on display from both the Regiment and the 21st Battalion, which the Regiment perpetuates.
