
April is Earth Awareness month, and you're invited to 'Museum Kids' and sing along with local entertainer David Archibald. 'Green Street' is an exciting interactive exploration of today’s environmental concerns. Join David on an off-the-map quest to find the road to a sustainable future. Help direct the journey as they: Learn more about the three Rs (reduce, reuse, recycle); Discover the realities of endangered species and spaces; Find the value and connectedness of a food web - all in a world of imagination, laughter, rhythm and rhyme.About David Archibald: David Archibald played his first guitar in Spain, and you can still find the warmth of the Andalusian sunshine in his music. His work on Great Lakes marine heritage Spirit of the Inland Sea has been featured at National and Provincial Parks as well as the Blyth Festival. He produced the first recording of pop star Avril Lavigne. His pop-music compositions have been recorded with RCA, and several of his compositions reside in the catalogues of ATV Music Group, Sunbury/Dunbar and Sony Music. David's music has been featured on many CBC radio programs, and he has toured extensively across Canada and the U.S. as well as Bermuda.Much of David's work has been in the field of children's music. He has written for and performed on Sesame Street and Mr. Dressup. His song 'Me & My Chair' is featured on Warner's latest Sesame Street Old School DVD. David's song-writing workshops for children have earned the Heritage Youth Leaders Award from the Ontario Heritage Foundation. ‘Museum Kids’ is a monthly programming feature at the Lennox & Addington County Museum & Archives.
