Internationally-acclaimed artist Lynne Marsh will be in residence at the Agnes this fall. This exciting initiative aims to support her artistic practice while convening Kingston’s creative communities to take part in a series of public conversations on various aspects of artistic production today. It’s also a way for the Agnes to experiment with new approaches to exhibition-making and to jumpstart artistic collaborations in Kingston. The residence is developed around three major public conversations on 3 October, 24 October and 7 November. These events are free and open to everyone. Marsh’s residency has been developed and produced by the Agnes Etherington Art Centre in partnership with the Cultural Studies Program, with the collaboration of the Fine Art Program, the Film and Media Department, the School of Music and the Department of Languages, Literatures & Cultures (German) at Queen’s University, Modern Fuel Artist-Run Center and Corridor Cultures Collective.See calendar for details or visit www.aeac.ca/programs/Artist-in-Residence.html.
