Kingston Museums Celebrates 35 years of Collaboration!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – 29 June 2015, Kingston, Ontario – 35 years ago, a small group of Kingston’s culture and heritage professionals began meetings focussed on challenges facing sector.  This group has provided leadership, mentorship and vision.  This association now comprises of 29 museums, art galleries and historic sites. A conservative 9.5 million visits have engaged in Kingston’s rich and diverse cultural tapestry.  Through every interaction, dedicated volunteers and staff have provided a unique experience of Kingston. Caroline Petznick, Managing Director shared “What has made this one of the longest running museum associations is the comradery and our passion for cultural heritage.” On Tuesday, June 30th, the Kingston Association of Museums, Art Galleries & Historic Sites will be celebrating our 35 years of collaboration.  Our event is graciously hosted by the Pump House Steam Museum. For further event details please contact Debbie Holdich, Coordinator at info@kingstonmuseums.ca or 613.507.4014.
