Fort Henry Opening Day - NEW Fort Henry Discovery Centre Opening

Join us for the opening of our new state of the art Discovery Centre and the launch of our 2012 Summer Season! The 10 000 square foot building is nestled between the historic citadel and guest parking lot, offering panoramic views of Cedar Island, Deadman's Bay, Cathcart Tower, and Lake Ontario. The innovative centre features modern interactive exhibits with projection and touch screen technologies, a new retail store, guest cafe, as well as a 2200 square foot Great Hall with adjoining two-tier outdoor patio. On Opening Day 2012 the Discovery Centre will be transformed into a Multicultural Marketplace showcasing the unique culinary, historical, and artistic traditions of various cultures. Picture steaming grills, eclectic music, the best international foods Kingston has to offer, and for a backdrop; breathtaking views of natural and historic wonders that you can only find in one place - atop Fort Henry Hill.
