Focusing on still life painting students will create a balanced composition using their preferred medium of either oil or acrylic paint. Materials not provided.Required materials: Materials: For each student: Sketch book, selection of pencils, oil or acrylic paint (at least: titanium white, paynes grey, burnt sienna, yellow ochre, cadmium yellow, ultramarine blue, alizarin crimson), paint brushes (at least: 1 sm/med round, 1 small flat, 3 filbert of varying sizes). For oil painters:  linseed oil, painting medium i.e.: liquin or solvent, solvent jar, rag, palette. For acrylic painters: mat or gloss medium, rag and palette. Canvas or gessoed board 1 – 10”x 14” to 18”x 24”INSTRUCTOR BIOGRAPHYGaetanne Lavoie was raised in a family that celebrated individuality and following your bliss. She received her BFA from York University in Toronto, an MFA from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco and a second MFA from the New York Academy of Art in New York City. Lavoie recently moved back to Canada and has exhibited her paintings nationally and internationally.
