
Join Greg Wanless, Professor in the Queen’s Department of Drama, for an engaging look at the poses and postures found in the exhibition Singular Figures: Portraits and Character Studies in Northern Baroque Painting. This workshop takes place in the gallery, where Wanless will discuss the self-presentation in these works and invite participants to explore them interactively.A graduate of the National Theatre School and Queen’s University, Greg Wanless has been a freelance professional actor since 1972. In 2012, he stepped down as Artistic Director of Gananoque’s Thousand Island Playhouse, which he founded in 1982. A recipient of the 2003 Her Majesty the Queen’s Jubilee Medal for service to the arts, he directs plays in the Queen’s Department of Drama, most recently Blood Relations by Sharon Pollock (2013).http://agnes.queensu.ca/event/details/the-body-in-the-painting/
