It’s a Museum Kids Saturday at the L&A County Museum and Archives in Napanee on November 2nd! Have fun with our "Beaded Poppy" workshop at the Museum with Indigenous Artists Tina Brant and Joy Brant.Indigenous Artists Tina Brant and Joy Brant will be demonstrating and teaching participants the art of raised Indigenous Beading. Children will have the opportunity to make their own beaded poppy. A Mi’kmaq artist Killa Atencio, was recognized in 2016 for making this beautiful representation of the Remembrance Day Poppy honoring Indigenous and non-Indigenous veterans. As always, admission is free for Museum Kids! New – due to the large number of visitors participating in the last few events – staff are requesting that parents/guardians please RSVP online at www.CountyMuseum.ca for one of two sessions happening at 10am & 10:45am.
