Co-directors
Robert Waldeck and Paul Eichhorn, who formed W.E. productions in 2004, have
assembled an intimate portrait of Canadian artist Carl Beam (1943-2005). By
layering interviews, archival material and focusing on his years of artistic
production, they convey the forceful personality that earned Beam the name “Aakideh”-
one who is brave. The directors will be present to introduce the film and
answer questions following the screening.
