Doors Open Kingston 2020 - The Spire

Saturday, September 26, 2020 - 10:00am to 4:00pm

Social Bubble Maximum: 9

The Spire (Sydenham Street United Church) has been part of the Kingston skyline for more than 160 years. Built in 1854 by William Coverdale the building has been many changes over the years, but retains its Gothic Revival character.  One popular feature is the pew where Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Phillip sat during their 1959 visit to Kingston. The rainbow flag symbolizes the commitment of SSUC, an Affirming Congregation, to inclusivity.

Our Doors Open Tours are set up to only include members of your social bubble, to a maximum of 9 individuals per tour time slot. Whether your bubble today has two or nine, only your bubble will be at this time slot. Please remember to bring an appropriate face mask or covering as recommended by the Kingston Public Health Unit. A small supply of masks will be available for each tour and hand sanitizer for your use.

Tours are scheduled from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm for 30 minutes (the second half of the hour is time for cleaning sanitizing between tours).  Please click below to register for a tour:
