Researcher

The volunteer Researcher will work as part of a close and enthusiastic team to discover information valuable to work of the Kingston Association of Museums, Art Galleries, and Historic Sites (KAM).This interesting and important volunteer role will obtain information necessary for projects such as examining best practices. You can acquire a deeper understanding of cultural heritage issues in Canada, and we will ensure a match with your areas of interest.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Sourcing articles and materials for research
  • Reading and consolidate information to provide recommendations on topic
  • May require contacting member site representatives to collect information
  • Report findings through written briefing notes and/or summary report

Skills and Experience

  • Strong communication skills
  • Research knowledge/experience
  • Ability to work independently

Time Commitment

Flexible hours and opportunities to work both/either at the KAM offices and/or from home.
