Volunteer Baker

The Baker will work as part of a team to provide a variety of baked goods to support special meetings and events under the Kingston Association of Museum’s mandate. The Baker will provide volunteer services of baking and delivery only, with costs for supplies to be reimbursed. The baker can work alone or with others, preferably in a no pressure, fun and giving baking environment to create muffins, cookies, bread, cupcakes, cakes, scones, etc. The goal of providing food to is to create a warm and inclusive culture for KAM related meetings and special events.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • purchase and supply goods to create baked goods (costs to be reimbursed by KAM)
  • bake quality, variety goods with gluten free, low sugar, or nut free options
  • list ingredients on baked goods
  • provide kitchen utensils, cookware, oven, wrap, aluminum foil, etc.
  • clean-up after baking
  • ability to bake and store and/or freeze goods at home for short time helpful

Skills and Experience

  • strong desire to spend time in the kitchen
  • great attention to detail and ability to create quality baked goods
  • good organization and planning skills
  • food safety awareness, knowledge and practices
  • enjoys shopping for baking ingredients
  • ability to deliver baked goods an asset

Flexible hours. Work from home.
