What is Pysanky? Pysanky is a Ukrainian Easter egg, decorated with traditional Ukrainian folk designs using a wax-resist (batik) method. The designs are not painted on, but written with beeswax. Sparkbox Studios will be showing us how the eggs are decorated. Kids will have an opportunity to create their own design and prepare scratch art using paper. Some pre-made eggs will be available for sale if participants wish to try an egg at home. Children must be accompanied by an adult. For more information, please call 613-354-3027.
